A TIME TO BE BORN MARIAN MARGARET CORNISH was born on March 10, 1938 to Jeanette Johnson and Ernest Watkins. Marian was a beloved child and she enjoyed a wonderful childhood that she spoke of fondly, even in her latter days. A TIME TO WORK Marian was employed at University of Maryland Medical Center with over 44 years of service. Knowledgeable with any task assigned, she retired in 2004 as a Medical Records Specialist. A TIME TO LOVE In 1960, she married Earl Cornish Sr., the love of her life, and from that union, which spanned 45 years until his passing, came two children: Earl Jr. and Linda. With love, honor and distinction, Marian was the beloved stepmother of Earlene and Sheila (who predeceased her). A TIME TO LIVE Life for Marian was about the time she spent with family and friends. She enjoyed family events and other opportunities to spend time communing with friends, often playing cards and bowling which were two of her favorite hobbies. Each year, she looked forward to the Taylors Island Family Reunion which she attended faithfully. She enjoyed sharing a meal with her loved ones and her favorite foods were fish, liver and onions, and spareribs. A TIME TO SERVE Alongside her husband, Marian was dedicated member of Mt. Pleasant Christian Ministries until her health did not allow her to attend. A TIME TO MOURN Marian leaves to cherish her warm memory: her son, Earl Jr.; daughter, Linda; daughter-in-law, Beverley; 9 grandchildren, Jamar, Ricardo, Shamia, Stephanie, Alexis, Emani, Elizabeth, Evan and Emma; her 15 great-grandchildren; adopted sons, Warren McCoy and Nick Savage; 4 godchildren. Marlene Rhock, Deaconess Sonya Crockett, Tiffany Jones and Michael Smith; nieces and nephews, many other relatives and friends. A TIME TO REST Marian Margaret Cornish was called from this life to eternity early on the morning of Sunday, January 7, 2024. She will be sorely missed. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
