Veronica Holley Wiggins

Veronica Dorothy Holley-Wiggins was born to John Wesley Holley and Josephine Matilda Holley on March 1st, 1941 at John Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. Veronica, affectionately called Ronnie by family and friends, attended catholic schools Saint Peter’s and Saint Pius, then went on to graduate from Saint Frances high school. Later, Ronnie married Edward Jerome Wiggins on July 11, 1959. From their union two sons were born, Huntington Francisco Wiggins (known to all by “Winky”) and Aaron Jerome Wiggins. Ronnie worked in the medical records department at Lutheran Hospital, attaining a supervisory position until retiring. Her ambitious nature led her to study income tax preparation with formal training and certification through H&R Block Tax Service. Again, she achieved a supervisory level position which led her to venture out and open her own tax service, Hands, LLC. While in business, she became a Certified Notary. After a mutual separation Ronnie found her life soul mate, Jimmie Hill, who is known to all by “Bo”. They were a couple right up until the Lord called her home. Ronnie was a very vibrant, energetic, and loving woman. She loved to cook, entertain, dance, play cards, and just be the ultimate host. Most weekends she always had something going on. She was a true people person. She held strong Catholic beliefs, doing her best to instill it into her two sons. In her later years, she moved back to her childhood home in Ridge, Maryland. While in Ridge, she wasn’t content with being idle during the off-tax season. To keep being productive, she took the opportunity to lease & manage the Seaside View restaurant, which she successfully operated for 5 years. Along with Seaside View and Saint Peter’s Church, she hosted many Baltimore and surrounding area-based Catholic Church bus tours that visited many of the Historical landmark areas in the southern Saint Mary’s to Ridge areas. At Saint Peter’s Church she was active performing secretarial responsibilities for some time. Ronnie led a very active and fulfilling life. She lived every minute to the fullest until her health began to decline, and she could no longer continue that lifestyle. The Lord called Ronnie home and welcomed her back into his arms in the early hours of Monday, May 18, 2020. She was preceded in death by her parents Josephine M. Holley and John W. Holley, along with her sisters Mary E. Thornton-Everett (known to all by “Betty”), Jacqueline J. Kennedy, and Celeste V. Holley (known to all by “Wutsie”). She leaves to mourn two sons, Winky & Aaron, one granddaughter, Ashley, one daughter-in-law, Virginia, her life soul mate, Bo, one brother, John C. Holley, (known to all by “Carnell”), one sister-in-law, Carolyn, one brother-in-law, Kemmit, a very close friend, Susan Blake, who was always her road partner, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. “Ronnie” will surely be missed, but not forgotten by all who had the fortunate opportunity to meet and know her.
