Tervino Justin Cooley

Tervino Justin Cooley, age 21, left this earthly existence unexpectedly on Sunday, August 20th, 2023. He was born on August 18th, 2002, in Baltimore, MD. Tervino obeyed the gospel and was baptized into Christ on November 29 2015 at the Central Church of Christ. He served in the Youth Ministry as an Usher. He was a 2021 graduate of Penn Foster High School (Laurel, MD); he also attended Surrattsville High School (Clinton, MD). After graduating high school, Tervino enlisted into the U.S. Army as an Army Culinary Specialist (42G). He attended basic combat training at Ft. Jackson, SC, advanced individual training at Ft. Lee, VA, and was stationed at Ft. Campbell, KY. After transitioning from the Army, Tervino was employed in the EVS department at Sterling Care at Riverside in Belcamp, MD. Tervino brought immense joy and laughter to all his friends and family. He had a great sense of humor and a contagious smile. He loved cooking, animals, eating family members out of house and home, playing video games and was a huge Nicki Minaj fan. He leaves behind his parents, Sherard Cooley, James Miller, and Kelly Joyner: great grandparents Joseph and Joanne Parker, Antoinette “ Meema” Joyner, Mamie Johnson Cooley; grandparents Derrick and Sharon Johnson, Judith Joyner, and William Jones; four sisters, Shauna Jones, Kayla McCaleb, Donye Blakston and Amiyah Anderson; five brothers, Corey Joyner, Dayon Blackston, Michael Anderson, DeAngelo Sanders, and DeAmon Sanders: three great aunts, Antoinette (Kyle) Briscoe, Paula Brown, and Yvonne Claiborne: four uncles, Sean Jones, Antonio Johnson, William Jones, Ian Jones; eight aunts, Sherri Bayton, Tae-Helene Jones, Tai-Lynia Jones, Saleia Jones, Ischa Jones, Shaniece Givens, Jessica Jones, Lakita Harris; special cousins, Imani (Jowell) - Gault, Da’Niyah Gilbert, Cameron Houchens, Maury Batten, Abrielle Bruce-Laws, Amaris Bayton, Karis Bayton, Sean Jones Jr. and countless other family members and friends who loved him deeply. Tervino was preceded in death by his great-grandfathers, Samuel L. Cooley Sr. and Romeo Joyner Sr, and many other relatives and friends. Tervino will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. The family would like to express sincere thanks to the March Life Tribute Center and the Central Church of Christ
