Lorna May Williams

Lorna May Williams was born on January 5, 1932, in the district of French Park, Manchester, Jamaica to parents Benjamin Gordon and Serah Turner. She was the third girl among three daughters and seven sons. Fate brought Lorna and Harold, her late husband, together when she was just 18 years old, and from that moment on, they knew it was meant to be. In 1958, they sealed their love with a marriage vow that would last a lifetime. Together, they built a beautiful family of five children, creating a legacy filled with boundless love and cherished memories. Their unwavering dedication to the Forest Park Presbyterian Church (Forest Park Community Church) was truly remarkable. Their commitment and service exemplified what it means to be faithful members of a community. Lorna found joy in spending quality time with her family, indulging in her passion for cooking, and watching tennis matches and religious programs on television, of which the Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) being her favorite. Her love for family and friends was extraordinary, surpassing all others. Her remarkable ability to accept and refrain from judging others was unparalleled, setting a shining example for us all. She possessed a remarkable ability to lend an empathetic ear, always willing to hear others' problems and offer guidance when she felt it could make a difference. She is an embodiment of selflessness, constantly giving without expecting anything in return. It wouldn't be surprising to stumble upon her image when Googling the word "love". Her unconditional kindness radiates from within and inspires us all. In her life, she leaves a lasting impact on her cherished surrogate daughter Keivette and stepdaughter Lorraine. She is also survived by her loving brothers Alvan, Lloyd, and Hugh, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, the Newhall family, and dear friend Mrs. Phyllis Jenkins. LORNA's incredible legacy will continue to shine brightly through her amazing daughters, Carrol Wellington (Glen) and Marcia Graham (John), as well as her remarkable sons, Philip (Janelle), Radcliffe (Angela), and Donald. Her impact expands even further with twenty-eight grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren. What a beautiful testament to the love and strength she has passed down through the generations!
