Martin Lee Hargrave

MARTIN LEE HARGRAVE, born August 16, 1950, in Baltimore, Maryland, was a man of strength, integrity, and boundless love who touched the lives of all who knew him. The cherished son of the late Leana and Mose Adam Hargrave, Martin grew up surrounded by family and strong values. On December 5, 2024 after his earthly journey, God ushered him into his heavenly home. Martin attended Pepperdine where he received his degree in Electrical Engineering and went on to build a remarkable career as an Electrical Engineer at Lockheed Martin, dedicating 30 years to his craft. His work took him across the country, and during his travels, he met Felicia Rettig in Oxnard, California. She became the love of his life, and their bond was unbreakable until her passing. A proud veteran, Martin served his country with honor, earning numerous awards and recognition. He took pride in family gatherings, where he embraced his role as “The Root” of the family. Martin was not only the foundation but also the center of his family’s unity. His home was a place where everyone felt welcomed and loved, and he brought relatives together with his warmth, wisdom, and unwavering support. His presence provided strength and stability, and he made sure that every family member felt valued and connected. In his leisure, he enjoyed assembling intricate train models and discussing his many inventive ideas. Martin’s life was a testament to kindness, resilience, and devotion. He is preceded in death by his beloved son, Ronald Hargrave. Martin leaves to cherish his memory his sons, Derrick and Reginald; his daughters, Lisa, Elisha, and Kimberly; his daughters-in-law and sons-in-law, Tonia, Valerie, Donsey, Terry, and Rohan; as well as a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives who will cherish his memory By Derrick Hargrave To my father, my guiding light, You’ve shaped me into a man so bright.
