Reuben A. Marshall

Reuben Antonio Marshall known as Tony to all, passed away on August 14, 2023. He was born August 3, 1967, and was the eldest child of Eddrena Carter and Joseph Marshall, Jr (deceased). Tony grew up in Baltimore City and County. He graduated from Forest Park High School and attended the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES), where he obtained his degree in Civil Engineering. During college, Tony pledged Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., and was a life member. He also met his future wife Mycha at UMES, and they married in June 2002. Over his professional career, Tony held various roles with Whiting-Turner Contracting Co., Glimcher Realty Trust, and Clark Construction Co. He started his own business, RAM Contracting Services, LLC in 2009 where he managed and oversaw the construction of many structures around Baltimore City, Virgina and D.C. areas. Tony recently worked part-time for Good Counsel High School and Top Dog Services as the project manager for a residential home addition. Tony loved his family and cherished his sons Reuben Jr. “TJ” and Matthew. He affectionately called them the “Power Boys.” Everything he did was to provide the best life experience for his children. Tony loved cooking, making great classic breakfast meals, dinners, and hosting many family gatherings. He was a diehard Orioles and Ravens fan and would defend his teams from criticism. He was a trivia buff; and knew little known facts about almost anything. He loved Star Trek and Star Wars and frequently watched the episodes repeatedly. Tony was an orator and often performed a rendition of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. “I Have a Dream” speech for his church congregation and many events in Baltimore City and surrounding counties. Tony had heath challenges in his later years, but these challenges did not affect his spirit. He always maintained a positive outlook and relied on his faith to guide him. He is preceded in death by his father Joseph Marshall, Jr., sister Rhonda Marshall, grandparents Edward and Mary Lou Myers and Uncle Douglas Myers. Tony is survived by his mother Eddrena Carter, step-father Robert (Pete) Carter, his sons Reuben (TJ) Marshall, Jr. and Matthew Marshall, siblings Tracie White and Troy Miller, brother-in-law Marvin and sister-in-law Jacinda, Aunt Monika Caldwell and her husband Randy, Uncles Stanford LaVon Myers, Llewellyn Myers and Winfred Myers, his nieces and nephews Tanaye White, Terence White, Jordan Miller, Tori Miller, Tehya Miller, Tavin Miller and a host of cousins, extended family, and friends. We are so grateful for our precious time with Tony; he will live on in our hearts.
