Malcolm Dubois Henry

Our Lord God gave the world MALCOLM DUBOIS HENRY on December 1, 1970, at Fort Hood, Texas (Formally Darnell Army Hospital). His adoring parents Mother - Antoinette McGaffey-Henry and Father Roy Henry, always saw him as a caring and loving son. He was a long-time resident of Gwynn Oak, Maryland. Malcolm and family members traveled to Deridder, Louisianna the third week of July. They had the best time ever. Beautiful and fun memories were made by all. Shortly after returning home, Malcolm was hospitalized at Northwest Hospital Randallstown, Maryland. On July 30, 2023, he entered the gates of heaven. Malcolm’s spiritual journey began shortly after his birth when he was Christened at Holy Ghost Catholic Church -Opelousas, LA. At age 13, Malcolm was confirmed at Epworth United Methodist Chapel, Baltimore, Maryland. He enjoyed attending West River Camp, Sunday School classes and various church functions. Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it. Our beloved Malcolm graduated from Woodlawn High School in 1988. While there he was a member of the Woodlawn Gospel Choir. Psalm 100 Make a joyful noise unto the Lord! He certainly succeeded in doing just that. Malcolm later attended Catonsville Community College majoring in accounting. He worked at Hechinger Company as Assistant Manager 1990- 1995 and at Home Depot as Assistant Manager for over 10 years. If you knew Malcolm, you also knew his heart always embraced writing music; studying the books of David; feeding ducks at Gwynn Oak Park and attending his beloved grandchildren’s activities. Malcolm loved so many people deeply. He would spend hours selecting the perfect cards for family and friends. He made sure you felt loved. Malcolm’s other loves were watching WWE Raw and attending live sports events; eating his Mother’s Louisiana Cuisine made from scratch and gifting his beloved sister Toni with dolls for her collection. And we knew The Color Purple was his all-time favorite movie. Malcolm leaves to carry on his love of God, his parents; beloved sister, Latonia Collette Henry; daughter, Renee Ariell Henry; granddaughters, Sanyah Henry, Brooklyn Baily; grandson, Elijah Kess; aunts, Ruth Culverson, Rosa Danage-Fields and Phyllis (Ted) Guillory; godmother, Mary Henry; godfather, Larry Bias; best friends, Cherie Barksdale, Kimberly West; special close cousins, Reginald Danage and Chantrell McNeill; and not to omit additional beloved host of cousins, blended family, and friends. Receiving Malcolm in heaven are departed family members: maternal grandmother, Lucille Roberts McGaffey; maternal grandfather, Henry McGaffey; paternal grandmother, Hazel Janice Henry and paternal grandfather, Frank Henry. Psalm 147:3 He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.
