Angel Theresa Dargan

ANGEL THERESA DARGAN was born December 30, 1970, to Ruth V. Fenwick and the late Monte Smith in Baltimore, Maryland. Angel has left a legacy of strength, generosity, determination and love to her family and friends. At an early age Angel accepted Christ and began her Christian journey. She was baptized by the Late Rev. Willard Clayton of Macedonia Baptist Church of Baltimore City where she was a member. She later transferred her membership to Manna Bible Baptist Church in Baltimore, Maryland. As a devout Christian and a Military wife who has travel around the World, she always found a Church home. Upon settling in Hinesville, Georgia she joined First Baptist Church of Hinesville in Midway, Georgia. Angel received her formal education from the Baltimore City Public Schools, graduating from Western High School (Dove for Life), later receiving her bachelor’s degree from University of Maryland and master’s degree from Brewton Parker College. While in middle school she met Cleveland J. Dargan who would become the love of her life. They were joined in holy matrimony on September 13, 1987. Out of this union three children were born: Kayla M. Cleveland J. and Christopher J. While living in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Angel owned and operated a daycare for children. Upon relocating to Hinesville, Georgia she would begin her teaching career with First Presbyterian Christian Academy and then Liberty Elementary School in Midway, Georgia. In 2021 she was nominated for Teacher of The Year for Liberty County. Angel was passionate about teaching and loved to be around young people. She was a member of the Professional Association of Georgia Educators. Spending time with her family was very precious to her. She was a movie and tv buff, loved family games, karaoke and the annual Christmas cookie bake off competition were some of her favorite pastimes. Angel’s fond memories will be cherished by her loving husband, Cleveland J. (BO); her daughter, Kayla M.; two sons, Cleveland J. (CJ) and Christopher J. (Chris) Dargan; mother, Ruth Fenwick; brother, Brandon Johnson; grandmother, Louise Fenwick; god-son, André Woods; four sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law, Claudet Dargan Reid (Beau), Teresa Dargan, Arabian Moore (Aaron) and Valarie Dargan; godmother, Dorothy Clark-Ward; god-sister, Lakeasha McGee; two god-brothers, LeVar Clark and Allen Ward; three special friends, Juanita Smith, Catherine Medina, and Marni Fenwick; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
